Although I am a fan of the edgy BMW I must say that the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Night Edition is quite a treat!

I am not particularly fond of Mercedes cars. They may well be very good, luxurious and excellent-made vehicles but they are a bit predictable.

However, from time to time even a Mercedes produces a car that is a jaw-dropper. This is certainly the case with the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Night Edition.

Mercedes-Maybach S65Night Editon – An uber-luxurious model

Mercedes-Maybach S650 Night Edition is an uber-luxurious car. The S650 has been produced since 2017, but only the limited Night Edition made my heart skip a beat. This luxurious limousine is meant to be a competitor of cars by makes the likes of Bentley or Rolls-Royce, so Daimler AG really had to do a really good job with their new creation and the results are magnificent.

Under the bonnet

I love powerful and loud engines. The Mercedes-Maybach does not disappoint in this respect. It is fitted with a 6-litre V12 turbocharged engine with 1000 Nm torque. The maximum power of the vehicle is 630 KM, so no wonder that this 2.5 tonne-car accelerates from 0 to 100 km in just 5 seconds.

Comfort and safety above all

Mercedes cars have excellent driving properties and in the case of this particular model its designers did an amazing job. The Magic Body Control technology deployed in the car scans the road ahead so it always “knows” what will come next. For even greater passenger comfort, the car inclines when taking turns.

The interior is worthy of high-end limousines

Top quality ecru or black leather, carbon fibre, some wooden elements on the steering wheel – these are the materials used in the interior. Even the car lining carpets are made of leather. The back seats have a massage function installed, an extendible leg rest and can be recline back to 43 degrees.

Limited edition

Only 15 pieces of this exceptional car will be made and they are all addressed to the US market. Despite the high price – USD 234,000 – I don’t think they will have to wait long to be sold.
