Residence in Old Wilanów
I have written several times on the blog about Błonia Wilanowskie and the real estate located there that were included in the Crystal House offer, but today for the first time I have a house for you located in Old Wilanów, i.e. in the residential part of this district. This is one of the best addresses in Warsaw, which has always been very popular with buyers. The local houses are mostly villas with a garden, some of which still remember the pre-war times.
A bit of history
Most of us associate Wilanów primarily with two things: the beautiful Wilanów Palace and modern high-end housing estates in Błonia Wilanowskie. And these are very valid associations. However, this district has had a prestigious character for years and people looking for a flat in a good Warsaw location have often considered buying a house here.
Wilanów itself has a history similar to that of other Warsaw districts. Once upon a time, a settlement called Milanów or Milanowo was a property that passed from one mighty hand to another, and life flowed slowly in it. The impulse for the development of the area was, of course, the project of King Jan III Sobieski, i.e. the construction of a summer royal residence. What in the initial phase was supposed to be a small manor house, i.e. Villa Nova (hence the present name of Wilanów), over the years and with subsequent extensions, has become a seat worthy of a European ruler, surrounded by a beautiful French-style garden, its own zoo and hunting grounds.
More or less from the end of the 19th century, Wilanów became a destination for weekend trips for the inhabitants of the capital. The idyllic surroundings and the proximity of the river attracted crowds of Varsovians looking for a break from the hardships of everyday life. It was then that the idea of building a cable car to Wilanów emerged, which was finally extended as far as Piaseczno via Konstancin.
The Old Wilanów itself, in the part built-up with single-family houses, has a history similar to that of the neighbouring Sadyba – many houses were built here in the interwar period on parcelled land. Of course, back then it was a bit less prestigious than today – Wilanów was just another suburban settlement.
Today, the residents of the villa part appreciate above all the peace and closeness of nature, as well as great road and bus connections with the rest of the capital. Over the past 100 years, Warsaw has grown so much that the once peripheral area is now within the city limits.
A residence in the Old Wilanów
The property that I would like to present to you today is a single-family property with an area of nearly 620 m2 in the residential part of the district. Located on a nearly 700-meter plot, it is breathtaking with its careful and rich finish. Stucco and marble – if you like that stuff, this house will be like a paradise for you.
On 4 floors, there are all the rooms that you can expect in such a house: the representative area with a hall, living room, open kitchen and office occupies the entire ground floor. The first and second floors are the private part – there are bedrooms (including a master bedroom with a bathing room), guest rooms and a library. Utility rooms, a sauna and a sauna have been arranged in the basement.
The house has been finished to the highest standard – built-in furniture, porcelain and bathroom fittings of the highest quality, Miele and Liebherr appliances in the kitchen, wrought iron balustrades, wooden door and window joinery.
The icing on the cake is a well-kept garden that gives a lot of privacy.
