Those who follow my blog closely know that in my youth I sailed for several months as a crew member on luxury cruise ships. And although several years have passed since those days… hmmm, more than several years 😉 I still have a great fondness for this type of vessels. That’s why I couldn’t miss an entry on my blog about the amazing “Wonder of the Seas”, the biggest cruise ship in the world owned by Royal Caribbean.

The ‘Wonder of the Seas’ only set sail on its maiden voyage in March this year, and this despite the fact that it was already ready in 2020.  Unfortunately, due to a coronavirus pandemic, the ship was stuck in port due to a sailing ban for cruise ships. The first commercial passengers boarded it on March 4 inFort Lauderdale, Florida, and set off for CocoCay in the Bahamas.

There is no time for boredom on board the “Wonder of the Seas” – indoor and outdoor pools with slides (the longest one is 10 storeys high!), water cinema, card room, carousel, casino, climbing wall, mini golf pitch, jogging path or spa and fitness centre. In addition, guests of the Royal Class Suites can enjoy a special Sun Deck with sea views and an always full bar.

And what are the prices? The lowest rate for a 7-day Caribbean cruise is $745, while a week sailing the Mediterranean with a start in Barcelona and finish in Palma de Mallorca is $870.

I don’t know about you, but I’d be tempted!
