The popular Kampinos for short, or the Kampinos National Park is the closest protected nature reserve to Warsaw. The area dubbed the “green lungs of Warsaw” is not only a great source of oxygen for the city but also a beloved leisure area for the people of Warsaw. Recently, quite a number of small residential real property investments have been erected around the forest.  They offer peace and quiet, typical for suburban areas but still offer a fast and easy commute to the centre of Warsaw.

Kampinos – A national park close to Warsaw

Kampinos is a remnant of the Mazovian Forest that the local resident began to intensively cut down in the 17th century which caused it to shrink considerably over the years. In 1959, a decision to convert the forest into a national park was made and since the 1970s, the park authorities are buying more land on the outskirts of the park and afforest it.

The most characteristic formations in the park are the inland dunes of the Vistula ancient valley and swamps. No Wonder that Kampinos is home to such animal species as the elk (the park’s symbol), the beaver and the lynx. Kampinos forest is also the perfect venue for trekking (there are 360 km of marked trails there) and cycling (the Kampinos Cyclic Route is nearly 150 km long).

This is precisely where the real property that has recently been listed for sale by my company Crystal House is located.
