I have attended the largest yacht and motor boat fair, the Cannes Yachting Festival for yet another time.

I have been staying in Cannes for a few days now, where, as every year, I come to see the most beautiful, most luxurious and most advanced yacht and motor boats. What I found particularly interesting were the new products by Sunreef Yachts, Sanlorenzo and Azimut Benetti Group. Today is the last day of the fair, and I have whipped up a brief coverage and a few photographs to document the event.

This year’s edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival was 5 days long – it was held on 10 to 15 September. The motor boats are displayed at the Port Canto, and the yachts in Port Vieux. As per the information provided by the organisers, the fair will be visited by 51,000 visitors over the 5 days. There are 638 vessels to see, from the smallest ones that are 2.1 m long, to the largest and most luxurious ones that are up to 55 m long. During the Cannes Yachting Festival, 122 will be shown for the first time. In total, the festival is attended by 542 exhibitors from the sailing and motor boat worlds, as well as broadly defined luxury offerings. Another event coinciding with the CYF is the so-called Luxury Gallery or fair of luxurious objects at the Palais des Festivals.

As every year, I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Polish shipyard, namely Sunreef Yachts. At this year’s festival Sunreef Yachts showcased 4 sailing yachts: the brand new compact Sunreef 50, the Sunreef 60, the Sunreef 70 and the Sunreef 80. This offering was supplemented with 3 motor boats, namely: the 40 Open Sunreef Power, the Sunreef Supreme 68 Power and the premiere 80 Sunreef Power. All these vessels, both yachts and motor boats, are absolutely top-class, state-of-the-art and incredibly luxurious.

I was also interested in seeing the new productions from the Italian Sanlorenzo shipyard that I have already written about before. The SD 96 motor boat I really enjoyed was unveiled for the very first time in Europe. Another manufacturer that caught my eye was the Azimut Benetti Group and its Azimut boats. Three motor boats by this shipyard premiered in Cannes: these were the Azimut 78, the Azimut Grande S10 and the Atlantis 45. Beautiful dynamic bodies, luxurious interior and furnishing, high-end craftsmanship are what makes this Italian brand stand out. I promise to right a separate post about this shipyard soon.
