There is more and more sun outside, the temperatures are rising, which means that the yachting season is about to begin. As you may know, I love everything that has to do with the sea and yachts so today I drew up a list of five of the most beautiful, in my opinion, marinas on the Mediterranean Sea.

Why the Mediterranean? Well, the Mediterranean Sea is very beautiful and diverse and one of the best ways of getting to know it is embarking on a yacht cruise during which you will be able to see the most picturesque marinas. Here is my list.

1. Marina Port Vell, Barcelona

Barcelona is a beautiful city that never ceases to amaze me. Port Vell or the Old Marina is just as enchanting as the city itself. This luxurious marina will win over the hearts of those travellers who love nightlife, clean beaches and Catalan Barcelona.

2. Karpaz Gate Marina, Karpaz

The Marina is situated in Cyprus, in its northern part. It is relatively young – it was built only 7 years ago. In 2017, it was awarded the title Marina of the Year. Guests can avail themselves of a swimming pool, restaurants, a water sports and fitness centre. It is a duty-free zone so you can buy there cheaper fuel and stock up on necessities.

3. Marina di San Lorenzo, San Lorenzo al Mare

This luxurious Italian marina is situated in a beautiful town. The area abounds in four-star restaurants, seaside bars and heavenly beaches. The marina itself is large and can accommodate a few hundred boats and yachts.

4. Marina Ibiza, Ibiza

This 5-star marina is the largest one on the island– over 530 yachts can moor here at the same time. It is recommended especially to all those who enjoy nightlife, never-ending parties and colourful drinks.

5. Port w Cannes, Cannes

One of my favourite places which I often visit when I go to the Cannes Yachting Festival. The marina is beautifully situated on the French Riviera and offers all those attractions that I love Cannes for – luxury, the best restaurants, beautiful vistas, top brands and stars of the international cinema at an arm’s reach.
