The fastest private jets in the world
I have not written a post about aircraft for a long time so today, I will tell you about the top 5 fastest small- and medium-sized jets.
Aviation experts claim that the next decade will bring about a breakthrough for the business of private jets. The market will be revolutionised by supersonic aircraft. The Aerion AS2 is expected to be unveiled as early as in 2023. It will be the first small passenger aeroplane faster than the speed of sound in the world.
In the meantime, I have wrapped up a ranking of top 5 small- and medium-sized jets that you can already fly today.
5. Dassault Falcon 900B
The maximum speed of this jet is 0.84 Mach, and its range is 7,400 km. It has 19 seats on board. Owing to the use of materials such as Kevlar, carbon fibre and titanium, the jet is incredibly lights which translates into lower fuel consumption.
4. Bombardier Global 6 500
In May 2018, Bombardier unveiled its Global 6 500 model to be available for sale as from late June 2019. Maximum speed of this jet is 0.90 Mach. New Rolls-Royce Pearl engines are economical which means that the aeroplane can fly over 12,200 km without refuelling.
3. Gulfstream G600
Gulfstream G600 can accelerate up to 0.925 Mach. Its range is nearly 11,500 km. The aircraft can take up to 19 passengers on board.
2. Bombardier Global 7 500 i 8 000
The Bombardier 7 500 is a model that was marketed in December 2018. Its maximum speed is 0.925 Mach and its range is truly incredible – up to 14,260 km. The spacious 16.5-metre long cabin was awarded with the Red Dot Design Award. The Bombardier 8 000’s range will be even greater, or 14,630 km, and it will be available for purchase in 2019.

The Cessna Citation X+ is the response to the needs of clients who wanted to have a faster version of the Citation model. The manufacturer has truly made an effort with this aircraft. The Cessna Citation X+ can fly at the speed of up to 0.935 Mach. The range of the aeroplane is approx. 6,000 km.
