A new limited version of the Bentley Bentayga
Bentley has always been synonymous with luxury high-end cars. When the first SUV by this make was launched on the market three years ago, it was instantly dubbed “an incredibly fast and very expensive” car. A few days ago, Bentley launched a new, limited edition of the vehicle inspired by traditional Japanese parquet. Only 10 cars will be made and they will be sold in Japan.
The first SUV by Bentley
When the Bentayga was unveiled in 2016, it was the first SUV in the history of the 97-year-old make. The car was planned as the best in all categories – the fastest, most luxurious, most powerful and most advanced. It was also the largest such car – it weighed 2,422 kg, was 5.14 m long, 2 m wide and 1.74 m tall.
The Bentayga boasted having an incredibly powerful engine. It was fitted with a double turbocharged 6-litre gasoline engine W12 TSI with 608 HP. Owing to the engine, this really large car only needed 4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The maximum speed of the vehicle is up to 301 km/h. All this accomplished at an average fuel consumption of 13 l per 100 km.
The interior of the car was a high-end luxurious sight that came to life owing to the work of 53 craftsmen. Each element was perfectly blended with the others.
A limited edition
A few days ago, Bentley announced that it has created a limited edition of the Bentayga with affluent Japanese clients in mind. The designer responsible for the design is Mulliner. Only 10 cars of this model will be produced. The car has a special silver beige coating which resembles the colour of china.
The Japanese link is the wooden panel inside the car which was made to resemble traditional Japanese parquet. It was made of three different types of materials: mother of pearl, maple wood and black tulips. Each wooden panel takes three months of work of craftsmen.
The car has a price tag of approximately PLN 1 million and the first cars will be delivered to their new owners this spring.
