The premiere of the new Porsche 911
The new Porsche 911 was unveiled in Los Angeles last night.
I love beautiful and fast cars. This is why news of the world premiere of the Porsche 911, one of the most classic sports cars made me very happy. The new Porsche is evergreen and über modern at the same time. In this particular model the designers combined smart steering elements with innovative solutions which translated into a great sports car tailor-made to the expectations of the digital world.
A more prominent body
The design of the new Porsche 911 looks familiar however, the eights generation is wider and more prominent. The elongated front, wider fender flares, new LED-lights integrated with the front mudguards, electrically-steered handles and redesigned mirrors are just some of the elements that were altered by the designers. A wide variable-position rear spoiler and an elegant light strip were added to the back of the car. The entire body of the car is made from aluminium, save the front and rear sections.
Clean-cut interiors line
The interior of the new Porsche 911 is dominated by straight lines and depressed dashboard instruments. It is clear that the inspirations came from the famous 1970s models. The driver can avail himself or herself of the tachometer and two screens on the sides. The centrally-located 10,9’’ display of the Porsche Communication Management system is intuitive and easy to use. The new seats are lighter and owing to the altered geometry, they offer even better side support.
Safety systems
Porsche is the first car maker in the world to have designed the Wet drive mode. The function detects water on the road and preps up all the systems to adjust to driving on a wet surface. The car is also equipped with a collision-warning system which, if need be, activates emergency braking.
A powerful engine
The car is fitted with the next generation of a flat-six twin-turbo boxer engine that considerably improved the performance of the car owing to the new turbochargers, electrically powered blow-off valve, a redesigned inter cooler system and piezoelectric injectors. The new engine generates 450 HP at 6500RPM
The price of this car starts at roughly PLN 530,000.
