“Atelier Zabłotny”: Bespoke tailoring for gentlemen
When I first arrived at the “Atelier Zabłotny”in March to have my measurements taken, I knew that the clothes sewn there are of topmost quality, both in terms of the fabrics used and workmanship. I was not disappointed. During my last visit when the tailor was taking the last of the necessary measurements and marked any corrections that were needed, I realised that it was the best choice I could have made.
As I wrote in an earlier post, bespoke tailoring, or a more refined version of made-to-measure tailoring, is without a doubt the most refined tailoring technique. A perfectly cut and sewn suit or shirt highlight the best physical features and divert attention from those less flattering. At “Atelier Zabłotny”, they certainly know their trade like the back of their hand.
I ordered four pieces of clothing, namely a checked jacket made from zegna fabric (52% silk, 48% cotton), white zegna trousers (95% cotton, 5% cashmere), checked trousers from a fabric which is a mix of wool (85%) and mohair (15%) and a double-breasted suit made of wool. In total, the tailors took over 30 measurements of my body, owing to which the clothes fit perfectly and highlight my best features.
The next stage will be the selection of matching accessories. Ties, cuff links, pocket squares – you can expect a professional service as regards accessories too at “Atelier Zabłotny”.
Once this is done, all that will be left is for me to wear my new attire happily ever after. I am convinced the clothes will stay with me for many years!
