Cocktail Bar “Syta 93”

The history of cocktails also called drinks dates back to the American Revolutionary War in the eighteenth century. It was then, when alcohol lost its importance as medicine and gained as beverage. And it was in America that the habit of mixing alcohol with other substances was born.

The genesis of the name of these colorful drinks is very interesting. It was created from the combination of two English words: “cock” and “tail”. In the eighteenth century, cockfights were very popular in America and all over the Caribbean. Usually, at the end of the event, the owner of the animal winner invited everyone for a round of something stronger. And so, one day an innkeeper poured a few different liquids in one pot, and used a rooster tail to mix them converting them into something that today we call a drink or a cocktail. Supposedly…

Today, alcoholic drinks and cocktails have become a very important part of all parties and festivities. Mixing them is quite an art and requires a lot of knowledge and skills. Some of them are classics such as Margarita, Tequila Sunrise, Bloody Mary, Cuba Libre, Mojito or Caipirinha. But there are also seasonal drinks, drinks created for a specific brand of alcohol or drinks typical for particular countries (such as our Polish Apple Pie).

With all that knowledge and a great thirst for good cocktails, I went to the cocktail bar in the “Syta 93” restaurant one afternoon. It is an extremely charming place that allows you to relax in a very nice atmosphere. The local bartenders are real masters of their craft and the number of available types of alcohol and drinks will make you dizzy.

In addition, dance parties with club music are organized here on Friday and Saturday evenings. You can taste good alcohol and then sweat it on the dance floor. It is true that I visited the “Syta 93” cocktail bar on a day without dancing party, but I am sure I will come back here again.
