Bespoke tailoring in Atelier Zabłotny
Bespoke tailoring or tailor-made sewing is undoubtedly the most demanding form of tailoring. A perfectly tailored and sewn-up suit or shirt underline positives of one’s silhouette and hiding at the same time its shortcomings. For some time now I had the intention to get a new suit and that’s why I went to Atelier Zabłotny.
What does bespoke tailoring look like at Atelier Zabłotny? The first and most important thing is to determine what the client needs. Will the suit be used every day or only for special occasions? A shirt – business or casual? A jacket – cover for the cooler days or will it be worn under a coat?
Getting answers to these questions will allow you to take the next step which is choosing the right fabrics and accessories. Tailoring also allows you to personalize items of clothing by making an embroidered monogram or inserting in the jacket wipers with the name and surname of the owner.
Selecting fabrics and accessories is an extremely important moment when one can benefit from the many years of experience of staff. They will advise the client on what she or he will look best in. This applies to colours, patterns and textures of materials.
Then, the client is subjected to detailed measurement. This is a key element for the success of the entire venture. At least thirty measures are taken at the Zabłotny Atelier. On this basis, designs and cut parts of the future suit or shirt will be made. Already during the sewing, further measures are taken which allow for a perfect fit. In the final stage, minor corrections and final finishes take place.
The cost of this service starts from PLN 7,500. It should not come as a surprise considering how much time one has to devote to tailor-made clothes and how much craftsmanship a tailor must show. Nevertheless, I highly recommend such an experience. If you dream about such a suit, be sure to visit Atelier Zabłotny.
