Yesterday Lamborghini Urus had its Polish premiere and I had the pleasure of being there when it happened. I must admit that both, the car itself and the setting of the event, have made a great impression on me. That’s why I decided to write a post about this amazing car straight away.

Lamborghini Urus is the first SUV of the legendary Italian brand. Known for producing deadly beautiful and infernally fast Lamborghini machines, it made its debut in the SUV segment big time. Urus is the fastest car of its kind and its performance is downright: the new Lambo accelerates its 2.2 tons to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds…

Straight from the beginning one can see that Urus was created by Lamborghini designers. Dynamic, sharp cut lines, characteristic to other cars of this brand, were also used in this project. And very well – Urus will definitely stand out from other segment cars and motoring enthusiasts will quickly guess the manufacturer without having to read the brand mark.

Inside, we find the quintessence of the Italian style and a tribute to the artisanal work. It is a tribute to the tradition and beauty of manual work. But it also boasts ultra-modern systems and state-of-the-art devices in the service of motorization. Dashboard design has been borrowed from airplane cockpits where different screens display different information. In Urus we have as many as three touch screens: device, infotainment and a screen supporting functions designed to manage the comfort of the driver and passengers.

The trunk, with a capacity of 616 liters, is far from being a disappointment. It seems perfectly enough for four people who would wish to take Urus for a weekend trip outside the city.

What powers Urus? A double-charged 4-liter 650 bhp unit. The power is transmitted by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The manufacturer says that the SUV “sucks” an average of 12.7 liters of petrol per 62 miles (100 km), which does not seem to be particularly high for a car of its kind. For those who like a more dynamic ride, it is possible to buy a car with bigger tank (85 liters instead of 75 liters). In addition, the car offers as many as 7 driving modes, including the Sabbia – sand mode, or the Neve – snow mode.

The information provided by the dealer shows that the interest in the car is enormous – those who will order their Lambo today will only receive it … in the second quarter of 2019. Thus, it seems that the price starting from more than PLN 715,000 did not scare buyers away.

The Polish distributor of Lamborghini cars is Porsche Inter Auto Polska to whom I am very grateful for my invitation to the event.
